Because You Love Me So

arches-national-park-dark-dusk-33688Some original song lyrics today. A couple of other mums and I used to dabble with song writing together. One day one of the girls said, “There are not enough laments!” The same day my other friend told us of her revelations from the book of Esther that week. When they left that afternoon I sat down and wrote this song for them. A lament and a promise from Esther combined. I hope it encourages you today, especially if you are in a season of “How long?”

Lots of love,

L.

Because You Love Me So

Verse

How Long, how long oh Lord we cry?

How long, will the tears be in our eyes?

How long, How long?

And yet maybe, for such a time as this we might be here and now

In your kingdom.

And yet maybe, for such a time as this,

For such a time as this, we have been saved.

Verse

How Long, how long oh Lord we cry?

How long, and how many have to die?

How long, How long?

And yet maybe, for such a time as this we might be here and now

In your kingdom.

And yet maybe, for such a time as this,

For such a time as this, we have been saved.

Chorus

So I will love You

I will love You Lord

With all my heart

With all my mind

With all my soul

I will love You Lord

Because You love me so

Because You love me so

Bridge

And I will tell how great You are

I will tell of all You’ve done

And I will lean on all Your promises,

Your promises to overcome.

That all may know the greatest love

The love that never fails

The love that heals the hurting heart,

That overflows and prevails.

Chorus

So I will love You

I will love You Lord

With all my heart

With all my mind

With all my soul

I will love You Lord

Because You love me so

Because You love me so
